Exciting times ahead for TWI's Laser Additive Manufacturing team!
We are pleased to have just received our brand new coaxial laser wire head from coaxworks GmbH.
This will be integrated within our Trumpf 7040 system giving one of the UK’s largest DED-LB platforms capable of both wire and powder processing.
The head is designed for wire diameters of between 0.8-1.2mm and can achieve omni-directional processing, making it ideally suited for additive manufacturing and to support our other key activities in component repair and coatings.
Integration will be supported by Trumpf and will take place later this year.
