Hamamatsu Promote Plastic Materials Laser Processing at TWI

Tue, 15 June, 2021

Hamamatsu Photonics have been promoting the capabilities of their LD Heating Light Source (LD Heater), which is available for use at TWI Cambridge.

The LD Heater is a spot heating light source with real-time temperature monitoring, that can be used for a variety of different applications including joining, curing and the creation of printed electronics.

With uses including resin and plastic welding, laser soldering, thermal processing, waterproof sealing, laser sintering of nano-inks for printed flexible electronics and glass sealing, the LD-Heater can find application in industries ranging from automotive to electronics and textiles.

You can find out more about the specifications of the system here and view a video from Hamamatsu about the LD-Heater here.

We are ready to consider new project work, offering our laser specialist support, using the LD Heater. We welcome contact from any of our Industrial Member companies who would like to know more.
