TWI Supports ‘Breathe Freely’ Event

Thu, 30 January, 2020

The British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) are holding their ‘Breathe Freely in Manufacturing’ seminar on 19 February 2020 in Birmingham.

TWI has three health and safety staff members of the BOHS steering group and is also keen to promote the protection of welders’ health across the manufacturing industry.

The FREE breakfast seminar will focus on the prevention of lung disease amongst welders, which is particularly relevant in the light of changes to welding fume legislation.

The event is the first of a series being planned throughout 2020 and will offer important information for anyone responsible for the protection of welders’ health. The seminar will explore the extent of the issue and investigate practical solutions. BOHS will also showcase their Welding Fume Control Selector Tool, which allows users to select the optimum welding fume control solution for regular welding tasks.

The seminar will be held from 8:30am-12:30pm at Jurys Inn Birmingham, with registration opening at 8.30am, during which breakfast with tea and coffee will be provided.

You can register for the seminar here, but registration will require you to sign up for a BOHS account. Once signed up, you will be able to book more ‘Breathe Freely’ and BOHS events.

BOHS is a science-based, charitable body that provides information, expertise and guidance in the recognition, control and management of workplace health risks.
