TWI Research Board Holds Annual Meeting

Thu, 19 November, 2020

The TWI Research Board held their 2020 annual meeting on 18 November.

This year’s meeting, which was held virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, saw representatives of 25 prominent Industrial Members come together to discuss a series of matters.

Chaired by Simon Webster, who was appointed to the position in July, the meeting saw discussions around how TWI has been meeting the challenges posed by COVID-19, as well as focusing on our ongoing work to promote diversity and inclusion across the organisation.

The majority of the meeting saw the Research Board members assess the current work of TWI’s Core Research Programme (CRP).

The CRP consists of projects that are funded via TWI’s Industrial Membership subscriptions to address the future needs of industry. The expert representatives from across industry who make up the Research Board ensure that TWI’s research maintains industrial relevance.

Vice-Chair Darren Wood captured the thoughts of the Board as well as suggestions to shape the programme to meet emerging themes and challenges.
