TWI electron beam specialists are heading to the 72nd IIW Annual Assembly and International Conference in Bratislava, Slovakia.
The assembly and conference is taking place between 7-12 July, 2019, with the international conference theme being focused on solutions in automotive. The Annual IIW Congress will provide meetings and knowledge exchange within 26 expert commissions.
TWI will be represented by over a dozen experts representing a wide range of welding, joining, materials and engineering specialisms.
Among the TWI experts attending are members of the Electron Beam group, including Senior Project Leader, Dr Sofia del Pozo, who will speak to both the technical expert commission and the conference on advanced electron beam welding process control.
Elsewhere, Section Manager and Manufacturing Programme Manager, Eur Ing Mike Nunn, will present on the application and benefits of local vacuum EB welding, while Power Industry Section Manager Chris Punshon will speak on power beam welding opportunities in pressure fabrication.
