The Innovate UK – Business Growth fund is now open to provide UK-based SMEs fully funded access to approved research and technology organisations (RTO), including TWI Ltd, to drive forward business and innovation.
Eligible companies can apply for up to £15,000 of funding to cover eligible costs for any suitable project including those that:
- Need technical support
- Explore and test new product ideas
- Manufacture demonstration items
- Technical expertise and specialist sector knowledge
- Improving efficiency through novel manufacturing techniques
- Need business support
- Market analysis; cost modelling; business‐case support
- Making business operations more sustainable or investigating market gaps
- The creation of industry‐relevant R&D project plans
- Commercialisation
Eligibility
The funding provided will be under Minimal Financial Assistance or De minimis. To be eligible, companies must be:
- A UK-registered trading company with 250 employees or fewer
- Have received under £315,000 in a rolling 3-year period according to the ‘De minimis’ regulations
- Be a high growth client with Innovate UK Business Growth
