Representatives from TWI attended the Advanced Materials Show 2023 at the NEC, Birmingham from 29-30 June.
The Advanced Materials Show serves as an exhibition for materials with superior qualities specifically designed for engineering and electronics applications, as well as the methodologies involved in their production. The event acts as a platform where top figures from R&D, engineering, science, and innovation gather to exchange knowledge and explore ways to enhance advanced materials, focusing on attributes such as lightness, conductivity, durability, thermal resilience, and strength.
The Advanced Materials Show, The Advanced Ceramics Show, Battery Cells and Systems Expo, and Vehicle Electrification Expo collectively provide a comprehensive networking, business opportunity, and learning experience for four interconnected sectors over a span of two days at the NEC, Birmingham.
TWI recently attended the Advanced Materials Show with an aim to stay at the forefront of emerging materials, technologies, and their potential applications. This provided an excellent platform for TWI to connect with a broad array of industry players and demonstrate our specialised expertise in the field of advanced material joining technologies.
Throughout the event, TWI representatives, Chris Worrall and Neelmanee Sarin, engaged in meaningful interactions with various exhibitors, outlining the range of services that we offer. These discussions helped in fostering understanding of the value proposition TWI can provide in the context of the advanced materials industry, highlighting our competencies in innovative material joining technologies.
Notably, our presence at the show also paved the way for networking with several companies. Our team seized the opportunity to establish initial connections that could lead to potential collaborations in future projects. We discussed the scope for collaboration in various types of projects, including single client, core research, collaborative, and joint industry projects.
