TWI has been working as part of a consortium of companies on the GEOHEX project, with the aim of developing innovative and improved materials for the use on geothermal heat exchangers.
This work has now been highlighted with a new article in the May issue of Heat Exchanger World magazine - and you can see the article below.
With the title of ‘Novel coatings for geothermal heat exchangers,’ the article offers details of the improvements in anti-scaling and anti-corrosion properties as well as heat transfer performance that are promised by the GEOHEX project.
With a summary of the project background, the article also delves into the needs and benefits of the work, including improved efficiencies and reduced costs for geothermal plants.
With a look at future applications, the article also reveals the issues that have already been addressed by the project team and the current status of the project.
