Having hit the project halfway mark, the MAREWIND project team have released a newsletter detailing the progress to date.
The project consortium, of which TWI is a part, have been working to develop an anticorrosion coating for key metallic elements for submerged offshore structures. The project has also seen the development of anti-fouling coatings for different materials.
A wind turbine blade coating has also been selected for trials, and new reinforced composites as well as high performance concretes (UHPC) are under development.
