GATERS Project Info to Be Shared at Webinar

Findings from the GATERS project are to be presented at a dedicated webinar on 25 October 2023 between 8:00 and 16:30 CET.

TWI has been working as part of the GATERS project consortium to exploit the potential benefits and thereby the impact of an innovative Gate Rudder System (GRS) on shipping operations.

The webinar will be a live broadcast from the 7^th International Conference on Advanced Model Measurements Technologies for the Maritime Industry (AMT 23), where members of the project team will be presenting.

Project outcomes will be shared at four dedicated sessions that will also be broadcasted as a webinar to ensure open access to any interested parties.

The sessions include:

• Session I: Model Tests and Extrapolations
• Session II: Design and Operation Uncertainties
• Session III: Cavitation and Underwater Radiated Noise
• Session IV: Gate Rudder Blade Design Engineering Aspects

Each session will see the presentation of several papers related to the project, while questions and comments will be taken from both in-person and online attendees.
