TWI Ltd has signed an agreement with LIFT, the United States’ national manufacturing innovation institute, to collaborate in the future.
LIFT and TWI recently signed a Memorandum Of Understanding to formalise the partnership and project cooperation, including:
- Undertaking research work
- Access to facilities
Detroit-based LIFT operates a public-private partnership between the U.S. Department of Defense, industry and academia to drive American industry into the future “where manufacturing technology and talent matter.”
Speaking on the collaborative agreement, LIFT chief executive officer and executive director, Nigel Francis said, “We are please to welcome TWI Ltd, into our important ecosystem, focused on advanced materials, manufacturing processes and systems. We are thrilled to have this agreement in place to share the facilities and the know-how of our colleagues overseas.”
TWI’s international business development manager, Nick Edge, said, “We are not alone in the quest to make manufacturing more effective and efficient. We are thrilled to be able to partner with LIFT, one of America’s manufacturing innovation institutes, to share knowledge and collaborate to advance manufacturing globally.”
