TWI hosted a meeting of the Nuclear Industry Association (NIA) Nuclear New Build Business Group on Wednesday, 13 February 2019.
The theme of the meeting was ‘Taking Stock of Nuclear New Build in the UK’ and aimed to assess the state of current nuclear build projects in the UK. The theme was particularly apt at this time given the recent announcement to place two new UK nuclear build projects on hold, Moorside in Cumbria and Wylfa at Anglesey in North Wales.
The NIA is the trade association for the UK’s civil nuclear industry. Representing more than 250 companies across the supply chain, the diversity of NIA membership allows for effective and constructive industry-wide interaction.
This latest business group meeting was attended by over 100 senior representatives from operators and OEMs across the supply chain, enabling members to gain access to the latest up-to-date relevant information to help grow the future of their businesses.
