Meet us at Space Solutions Event in Cambridge

TWI's Business Development Executive for the Space Sector, Dr Abbasi Gandhi PhD MEng BEng CEng MWeldI is due to present about the work of the ESA Technology Broker UK at this free-to-attend event in Cambridge, UK.

'Space Solutions, Local Impact: Discover ESA BASS in the East of England,' will introduce the European Space Agency (ESA) 'Business Applications and Space Solutions' (BASS) programme to organisations across the East of England.

The 4-hour event will deliver information on ESA support programmes and funding opportunities, including real-world case studies. There will also be opportunities to book one-to-one sessions to discuss project ideas.

Attendees will also get a complimentary lunch.

Business Development Executive

Dr Abbasi Gandhi has over 18 years of experience in the manufacturing and RTO based organizations. He worked and managed a wide variety of R&D projects in the following technical areas: bio-nano-technologies, powder metallurgy, heat treatment, thin films, materials processing, materials joining, materials characterisation, surface modification, functional coatings, materials sintering, energy harvesting and thermodynamics. He has been involved on large scale industrial and EU projects as research assistance and finished as Team manager prior to joining TWI in 2019. His main areas of involvement at TWI include diffusion bonding, microjoining (soldering, resistance welding, ultrasonic bonding etc.), powder metallurgy (sintering, processing etc.), functional coatings (bio coating, piezoelectric coatings etc.), surface modification as well as general heat treatments.
