Our intention is to help you achieve the maximum benefit for your organisation from TWI. The webinar will last approximately 45 minutes.

Attendance is free of charge.

Ian Froment - Section Manager - Membership Development

Ian Froment

Section Manager - Membership Development

Ian Froment is TWI's Section Manager for the Membership Development Section. as well as Industrial Membership Manager for the Power Generation and Medical Sectors.

Ian is responsible for interfacing with TWI Industrial Members in the nuclear, fossil and renewable energy sectors. Ian Froment can support direct technical enquiries as well as answer questions on TWI's membership services, ultimately maximising value for TWI.

Nicola Claydon - Commercial Manager

Commercial Manager

Nicola joined TWI in January 2003 as a Clerical Officer to what was then known as the Contracts Group. Later on that year she was promoted to a Commercial Officer dealing with regionally funded projects from the European Regional Development Fund including the set up of TWI Yorkshire and TWI Wales. in 2023 Nicola took up the position of Commercial Manager.

Paul joined TWI in 2002, working initially in Information Services for a year before moving on to stints in Technology Transfer and Business Process Services. Paul returned to Information Services in 2012 becoming Section Manager in 2017.

 

Lotte Qvist-Larkins - Section Manager of the Professional Membership Department

Section Manager of the Professional Membership Department

Lotte is the Section Manager for the Professional Membership Department within The Welding Institute, looking after a team of 7 managing all professional membership activities within the institute as well as our accreditation and approvals work. Aside from membership and educational activities, Lotte is also ensuring compliance with regulations, streamlining of processes and conducting training of new volunteer assessors for the peer reviews. With 15 years' experience of working for the institute, Lotte has gained a thorough understanding of how the institute can assist professionals and employers in the industry.

Lotte joined TWI Ltd in December 2005 working for the TWI Training School and the NDT Section before joining The Welding Institute department in 2008. Prior to this, Lotte's background had been mainly in the Danish IT industry.

Stephen Wisniewski - Training UK Group Manager

Stephen’s credentials span 35 years in NDT initially specialising in RT, MT and PT at a lost wax facility whilst acting as NDT facility manager at the age of 23 yrs.

He went onto become technical manager at a larger foundry and fabrication section testing and producing technical NDT procedures including bespoke procedures for client projects in all industry sectors, including shipping, oil and gas, nuclear, power generation and medical. The largest structure tested being a nuclear flask weighing in at 90 tonnes. Stephen went onto gain further specialisms in Digital radiography, TOFD and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing.

He initially joined TWI in 2007 eventually becoming an Advanced NDT Lecturer and Chief Examiner across both PCN and CSWIP before joining IMechE Engineering Training Solutions as Courses and Examinations Manager in 2013.

Stephen returned to TWI Training and Examinations in March 2018 as Team Manager (NDT) and is the Training UK Group Manager.
