Welding, Joining and Manufacturing Conference and Exhibition (WeldJoinExpo 2026)

This free-to-attend event is a flagship event for welding, joining and allied technologies in the UK.

Created by TWI / The Welding Institute, this premier event for welding, joining and allied technologies in the UK will bring together experts and professionals from across industry for keynote speeches, presentations, and industry workshops, including valued input from bodies including Make UK and Make UK Defence, the Aerospace Technology Institute (ATI), and the Nuclear Industry Association (NIA). There will also be an exhibition from TWI and Make UK Members during the two days.

In addition, WeldJoinExpo 2026 will host the East of England Skillweld regional finals, which are aimed at trainee/apprentice welders working and/or training in the welding industry at level 2-3 or higher level.

The two-day event will open with a speech from TWI/ The Welding Institute CEO, Caroline Gumble and will also include opportunities to find out about professional support via The Welding Institute, technical support and consultancy for Industrial Members, and insights into the wealth of unique technical knowledge and information available via the TWI Digital Library.

We have designed this event to meet the need for a dedicated welding, joining and manufacturing event for the UK and will be bringing together a range of industry sectors to share knowledge, address challenges, network and find out about the latest advances and technologies. This includes a programme of informative workshops designed to engage a range of industry areas, including:

  • Non-Metallics
  • Materials (not yet confirmed)
  • NDT
  • Nuclear
  • Defence
  • Aerospace
  • Space
  • Oil and Gas

In addition, there will be opportunities to network with other attendees and speak with experts from TWI and The Welding Institute, including organised opportunities where we will introduce Industrial Members with similar interests.

There will also be opportunities to take tours of our facilities and those attending the expo will also receive an event pack including an exhibitor guide, TWI brochure and event gift.

Finally for attendees, there will be a chance for you to demonstrate your skills in an augmented reality welding competition, along with two poster competitions. The first poster competition is aimed at PhD students who will have the opportunity to showcase their projects, while the second is aimed at college tutors to demonstrate a 'back-to-basics' welding topic. We will provide more details on these competitions closer to the time.

You can find out more about the event itself, as well as details for exhibiting (with reduced rates for TWI Industrial Members), advice on travel and where to stay, and more on the event website, at the link below:
