Having already supported SMEs in the Tees Valley in securing over £2 million in grant funding, the Tees Valley Innovation Accelerator (TIA) project team are now supporting a new call for ‘Net Zero’ innovators.
Net zero is a balance between emissions released and those that are removed from the atmosphere with the aim of reducing global warming. The Paris Agreement was signed by governments around the globe in 2016, with the promise to achieve net zero by 2050.
Funded by the European Regional Development Fund in the Northern Powerhouse Region, the TIA project has been helping stimulate economic development and innovation across the Tees Valley, creating new jobs and regenerating communities through FREE support to local SMEs.
We are now seeking Tees Valley SMEs involved in net zero-related innovation that would like assistance in preparing for the Innovate UK Launchpad: Net Zero, CR&D Tees Valley, R2 and Launchpad: Net Zero, MFA, Tees Valley, R2 programmes, which close on 29th March 2023.
The dedicated programmes of regional investment are being made available to support levelling up in the Tees Net Zero cluster, which is working towards the Tees Valley becoming a net zero cluster and leader in clean energy by 2040.
SME leaders are encouraged to begin their preparations for this funding call as soon as possible and the TIA team can help you ensure your application is aligned with the scope and eligibility criteria of the funds.
TWI and the TIA programme team is offering fully funded support to any SME leaders from the Tees Valley region who would like guidance in preparing a bid for this call.
SME leaders that join the TIA programme can expect to receive:
- 1:1 sessions to ensure eligibility for this call and to refine your proposal concept
- Expert proposal writing guidance to bring your application up to Innovate UK standards
- Online webinar training on proposal writing process and the requirements for a strong bid
- Review of your final proposal by expert assessors before submission to ensure the greatest chance of success
Applications for the TIA support are open now but, due to the short time span ahead of the call’s deadline, we will only be able to accept a limited number of applicants on a first-come-first-serve basis.
