TWI India proudly participated as a Platinum Sponsor at IMECE India 2026, held from 3–5 September 2026 at the Chennai Trade Centre. The exhibition brought together students, engineers, researchers, and industry professionals for three days of technical learning, innovation, and collaboration.
At the TWI India stand, visitors explored the TWI Knowledge Bus, experienced live demonstrations of Pipeline AUT (Girth Weld Inspection) and the Welding Simulator, and interacted with our team to learn more about internationally recognised training and certification programmes.
The event also featured an engaging Student Engineering Quiz, encouraging young engineers to showcase their technical knowledge. Throughout the exhibition, TWI India welcomed clients, industry professionals, and students, creating valuable opportunities for technical discussions and future collaboration.
As part of the technical programme, Rakesh Subramanian, Assistant Manager – Welding, delivered a lecture on “Analysis on Welding Defects: Types, Causes, and Prevention to Enhance the Quality of Welding.”
Sathish Murugan, Advance NDT Manager, also presented an insightful technical session on “Efficacy of Array Ultrasonic Imaging Technique for Detection of Flaws in a Butt Weld with Restricted Access,” highlighting the application of array ultrasonic imaging for advanced weld inspection.
