CEO Visit to TWI India - Dr Caroline Gumble

TWI India had the honour of welcoming our Chief Executive Officer, Caroline Gumble (Dr), CEO of TWI Ltd, during her official visit from 17 to 19 February, 2026. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for engagement with staff, academic partners, and training representatives, while reinforcing TWI’s commitment to technical excellence, collaboration, and skills development in India.

Dr Gumble’s visit focused on strengthening relationships, sharing TWI’s global vision, and interacting with employees and partners to better understand regional activities and opportunities.

The visit began with a warm welcome at the Hyatt, followed by a comprehensive safety briefing and formal introductions from the management team. A town hall session was held where Dr Gumble addressed all staff, sharing insights into TWI’s global strategy and future direction. The session concluded with an engaging open Q&A, giving employees the opportunity to interact directly with the CEO.

Dr Gumble also visited VIT University, where she met with faculty and management representatives. A key highlight of the day was the inauguration of the TWI India Student Chapter, where Dr Gumble addressed student members and emphasised the importance of technical skills and professional development. The visit also included the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking an important step in strengthening academic collaboration.

On the second day, Dr Gumble visited TWI India’s current office, where she toured the facilities and interacted with staff. She then proceeded to the new office location for a detailed tour, gaining insights into the expanded capabilities and future plans.

During her visit to the new office, Dr Gumble also explored the TWI Knowledge Bus, gaining a valuable insight into this mobile training initiative and how it helps deliver technical education and skills training directly to students and industry professionals.

The afternoon included a management meeting focused on strategic discussions, followed by meetings with representatives to explore collaboration opportunities. The day concluded with a dinner attended by representatives and invited guests.

The final day included a visit to IIT Madras Research Park, where Dr Gumble toured laboratories and research facilities, learning more about ongoing innovation and collaboration opportunities.

In the afternoon, Dr Gumble participated in meetings with key industry stakeholders, along with representatives from Industrial Member and non-member companies. These discussions highlighted opportunities for collaboration and industry engagement in the region.

Dr Caroline Gumble’s visit was both productive and inspiring, strengthening connections across teams, academia, and industry. Her interactions with staff and partners reinforced TWI’s commitment to innovation, training, and global collaboration.
