We’re pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between TWI India and the Skill Development Institute (SDI), Visakhapatnam, led by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL).
During a recent visit, our Associate Director, Mr. Ayyala Venkateswara Rao, had the privilege of interacting with SDI’s leadership and welding trainees, gaining insights into the impactful work being done under the National Skill Development Mission.
This collaboration aims to:
- Strengthen the quality and accessibility of technical training
- Develop industry-ready professionals with practical, hands-on skills
- Promote international certifications to enhance global employability
- Encourage knowledge exchange and build capacity in advanced welding and inspection techniques
As part of this collaboration, one of the key focus areas will be through SEASEP – South East Asia Skills Enhancement Programme.
SEASEP aims to:
- Enhance employability of youth through globally recognised training and certifications
- Bridge the gap between technical skills and industry demand
- Support the creation of a globally competent workforce across South and Southeast Asia
- Build capacity in welding, inspection, NDT, and plant services aligned to Industry 4.0
