TWI India’s Empowering Women’s Wellness Programme

TWI India hosted an impactful Women’s Wellness Programme on April 12, 2024, at its office premises in Chennai. This event was designed to prioritize women's physical health and holistic well-being and marked a significant step towards nurturing a supportive and empowered workplace.

The event, organized under the theme of self-care, wellness, and empowerment, provided an enriching experience for all participants. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in various activities to enhance mental health and overall well-being.

Renowned wellness expert, Ms Ramyaa Sankaranarayanan, a Certified Nutrition and Fitness Coach, Registered Yoga Teacher, and Director of Mommy Talks Wellness Hub, led the programme. With her extensive experience and expertise, Ms Sankaranarayanan guided participants through a range of topics, including women's health and fitness during perimenopause and post-menopause, handling hormonal fluctuations, nutrition and lifestyle choices, and techniques to improve sleep quality and life.

The 90-minute session also included practical demonstrations of mobility and stretching exercises, cardiovascular health exercises, strength and resistance training workouts, as well as meditation and relaxation techniques. Ms Sankaranarayanan's engaging and informative presentation inspired and empowered attendees to prioritize their mental health and well-being.

TWI India recognises the importance of promoting a culture of well-being and is committed to providing our employees with the resources and support they need to thrive personally and professionally. The women's wellness programme was open to all female staff of TWI India, as well as spouses, mothers, and immediate female family members of male staff members. For those unable to attend in person, we organized Zoom sessions to ensure inclusivity and accessibility.
