From 12–15 February, welding professionals gathered in Uganda to take an important step forward in their careers by attending the CSWIP Welding Inspector course delivered by TWI Middle East. The training provided candidates with the knowledge and practical skills required to work towards internationally recognised certification in welding inspection.
The course was led by TWI Middle East’s experienced senior lecturer, Muhammad Islam, who guided participants through the key principles of welding inspection. The training covered essential topics, including weld quality requirements, visual inspection techniques, inspection procedures, and the role of welding inspectors in ensuring compliance with industry standards.
This training marked an important milestone for the professionals in attendance, many of whom are preparing to take on greater responsibilities in industries such as oil and gas, construction, and manufacturing. By pursuing CSWIP certification, candidates are equipping themselves with the skills and credentials needed to support quality assurance and safe operations in critical engineering projects.
Throughout the course, participants engaged in both theoretical learning and practical activities, allowing them to develop a deeper understanding of weld inspection techniques and industry best practices. The interactive sessions also provided an opportunity for candidates to share experiences and strengthen their professional knowledge.
Undertaking CSWIP Welding Inspector training represents a significant step in career development, enabling inspectors to enhance their credibility and expand their opportunities both locally and internationally.
