TWI Thailand recently hosted a special “TWI Thailand Songkran Day” event to celebrate the Thai New Year and honour the country’s rich cultural heritage. The occasion was made even more memorable with the presence of Mr. Jason Gregory, Director of Training and Skills at TWI, who joined the team for this meaningful celebration.
Spiritual Reflection and Cultural Exchange
A key highlight of the event was the traditional Song Nam Phra ceremony, or the bathing of the Buddha statue—an enduring Thai custom practiced across generations to welcome good fortune and express gratitude toward the Triple Gem. This ritual carries deep spiritual meaning and offered a moment of reflection for all participants.
The ceremony symbolises:
- Mental Clarity: Washing away negativity to invite peace, positivity, and renewed energy
- Gratitude: Demonstrating respect for sacred teachings, mentors, and traditions
- Prosperity: Welcoming good health, protection, and a smooth path ahead
The experience provided a valuable opportunity for both local and international team members to connect with Thai traditions, fostering a deeper appreciation of cultural values within the workplace.
Strengthening Professional Ties and Collaboration
Following the ceremony, the team gathered for a friendly luncheon with Mr. Jason Gregory. This informal setting encouraged open conversations, enabling a vibrant exchange of ideas, industry insights, and global perspectives on skills development.
The interaction played a key role in strengthening professional relationships and enhancing collaboration across TWI’s global network. By sharing knowledge and experiences, the team continues to build a more connected and efficient approach to delivering high-quality training and engineering services.
The Songkran celebration at TWI Thailand was more than a cultural event—it was a moment to pause, reflect, and recharge. As the team moves forward into 2026, this shared experience reinforces a collective commitment to excellence, continuous improvement, and global success.
