TWI Malaysia recently welcomed representatives from TESDEC Berhad for a productive visit aimed at strengthening relationships and exploring opportunities for future collaboration. The visit also marked the introduction of TESDEC’s CEO, Mohd Rashdan bin Muda, providing an opportunity for both organisations to connect and discuss shared goals in training and skills development.
The session began with an introduction and networking discussion, allowing both teams to get to know each other and exchange insights on their respective activities and expertise. The visit provided a valuable platform to explore how TWI Malaysia and TESDEC Berhad can work together to enhance technical training opportunities in Malaysia.
One of the key topics discussed was the potential for collaboration in Augmented Reality (AR) welding training. Both parties explored how innovative AR technologies could support skills development and enhance the learning experience for trainees, particularly in technical and vocational education.
The TESDEC delegation was also given a tour of the TWI Malaysia facilities, where they were introduced to the training environment and technical capabilities available. The tour provided an overview of TWI Malaysia’s expertise in welding inspection and non-destructive testing training.
In addition, discussions were held on the future availability and delivery of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Welding Inspection (WI) courses through TESDEC, supported by TWI Malaysia. This collaboration aims to expand access to internationally recognised training programmes and support the development of skilled professionals in the region.
The visit marked a positive step toward building a strong partnership between TWI Malaysia and TESDEC Berhad. Both organisations look forward to exploring further opportunities for collaboration in training, technology, and skills development in the future.
