TWI Thailand successfully conducted two sessions of the CSWIP 3.0 Visual Welding Inspection course at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) on 17–18 and 19–20 March 2025. The classes were delivered under the Southeast Asia Skill Enhancement Programme (SEASEP), in collaboration with the university’s Skill Excellent Program, furthering our mission to equip students with industry-relevant skills and internationally recognised safety knowledge.
The training included the IOSH Working Safely certification, a core component of SEASEP, aimed at building a safety-conscious workforce. Together, these courses offered both technical competency in welding inspection and essential safety awareness—skills that are increasingly critical in today’s industrial landscape.
Supporting Student Career Development and Industry Integration
TWI Thailand’s collaboration with KMITL reinforces our commitment to contributing to Thailand’s industrial future. By delivering certified training directly to university students, we help prepare the next generation of professionals for safer, more skilled roles across manufacturing, engineering, and construction sectors.
This training directly supports SEASEP’s objectives to:
- Create a safety-skilled workforce that meets industry demands
- Promote safer working practices, leading to fewer incidents on the job
- Improve the integrity of critical infrastructure and reduce failures
- Enhance career prospects for disadvantaged or under-represented groups
Empowering Academic Staff to Enrich Future Generations
Alongside students, lecturers from KMITL also took part in the training. Their participation reflects the growing importance of aligning academic instruction with evolving industry standards. By strengthening the knowledge and practical skills of teaching staff, TWI Thailand supports the long-term goal of building a more industry-ready and informed educational environment.
TWI Thailand is proud to continue its active involvement in technical education and workforce development across the country. Through initiatives like SEASEP, we aim to bridge the gap between learning and real-world application—supporting the safety, integrity, and future of Thailand’s industries.
