TWI Southeast Asia (SEA) is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jabatan Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Sabah (JPSM), marking a significant step forward in collaborative efforts to enhance skills training and workforce development in the region.
The MoU was formally signed by Puan Kamsiah binti Ibrahim, representing JPSM Sabah, and Puan Anizar binti Abu Bakar, Regional Manager of TWI SEA. The ceremony symbolised a shared commitment to developing industry-relevant competencies that support Malaysia’s growing demand for certified, skilled professionals—particularly in the technical and engineering sectors.
Advancing Technical Training in Sabah
Through this partnership, JPSM Sabah and TWI SEA aim to deliver internationally recognised training and certification programmes, creating greater access to high-quality skills development opportunities for local talent. The collaboration will focus on enhancing employability, supporting local industries, and driving long-term economic growth in Sabah.
A Step Towards a Stronger Workforce
JPSM, as Sabah’s key government agency for human capital development, plays a pivotal role in equipping the state’s population with relevant skills for the evolving job market. By partnering with TWI, a global leader in engineering, inspection, and welding technologies, this initiative ensures that Sabah’s talent pool is aligned with both local and international industry standards.
Looking Ahead
This strategic partnership between TWI SEA and JPSM Sabah will open doors to various training programmes, including welding inspection, non-destructive testing (NDT), and other technical certifications that are in demand across multiple industries.
The MoU lays a strong foundation for sustainable talent development and reflects both organisations’ dedication to driving progress through education and training. Together, TWI SEA and JPSM Sabah are committed to shaping a brighter, more skilled future for Malaysia.
