TWI Technology Sdn Bhd and Don Bosco Technical Vocational Education and Training Center - Balamban, Inc. (Philippines) have officially entered into a strategic partnership, marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 16 April 2025. The signing ceremony was held at TWI Technology Sdn Bhd’s premises in Kuala Lumpur.
The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to uplift technical-vocational education and training (TVET) in Southeast Asia, particularly in the Philippines. Don Bosco Balamban, known for its mission of empowering marginalized youth through skills training, values formation, and character development, has long been a pillar in preparing young individuals for meaningful employment and responsible citizenship.
Representing Don Bosco Balamban at the signing was Fr. Brian R. Butanas, SDB, Director of the institution. On behalf of TWI Technology, the MOU was signed by Mr. Weng Kai Lee, Country Manager (Malaysia) and Regional Manager (East Asia), along with Ms. Anizar, Regional Accountant, and Mr. Dean Mallaburn, Global Product & Regional Programme Manager.
This partnership will open up new pathways for skills enhancement, international exposure, and industry collaboration. It signifies an important step in expanding access to world-class technical training and employment opportunities for Filipino youth, contributing to a more skilled and socially responsible workforce across the region.
The MOU underscores both parties’ vision of using education as a powerful tool for transformation—building not only careers but also character and community.
