Engr. Muhammad Shiraz Habib, born and raised in Pakistan, is an engineer by profession, with a post-graduate diploma in MSc Engineering from UET Taxila Pakistan.
He started his career with SMIS Lahore as an NDT inspector and trainer, before moving on to Power China Nuclear Engineering Company Limited Saudi Arabia and then SEPCO Arabia Saudi Arabia in 2019, where he worked as a QA Inspector for piping and valve testing.
With his innate critical problem-solving skills, knowledge of international standards and codes, and a wealth of experience in QC, he has assumed different challenging roles and responsibilities including valve testing and inspection, piping fabrication, structural fabrication, erection, testing, and pre-commissioning for several projects.
Although Muhammad has multiple citations in ASNT and API qualifications and is also a certified QMS lead auditor, he needed to constantly improve his knowledge to maintain his position in the Quality Assurance and Quality Control department of his company. As a result, he chose to prove his competency and improve his skills through a globally recognised certification body - CSWIP.
Being passionate about learning and always keeping a positive outlook, Muhammad contacted TWI to enrol for training, where he has already successfully earned his CSWIP Welding Inspector and BGAS-CSWIP Painting Inspector qualifications.
He recalls how much knowledge he gained from the course and vouches for the overall quality of the programme, whilst appreciating the high level of support he received from the instructor and TWI staff.
Today, Muhammad Shiraz is not only a part of their QA/QC department but is also a Saudi Aramco-approved QC inspector for piping, valve testing and welding. He continues to develop his professional progression, is currently awaiting results of his examination in the CSWIP Senior Welding Inspector course, and wishes to pursue BGAS-CSWIP Painting Inspector Grade 1 soon.
He strongly believes that recognition of one’s competency through TWI opens more rewarding doors for professional growth and improved career opportunities.
