Rashid Ali Shah has been part of the TWI Middle East team since 2018. Currently working in the capacity of regional QHSE Lead, Rashid has a background of working with multinational organisations, including oil and gas upstream industry, and brings over 11 years of experience.
From humble beginnings working as a junior safety officer for Pakistan Oil Fields Ltd, his professional growth has been soaring at a rapid pace. Moving next from the CNPC Bohai Drilling Engineering Company to Saudi Aramco, and now to TWI Middle East, Rashid has provided all these firms with his valuable HSE expertise and helped them achieve their organisational and safety goals.
Eager to enhance and facilitate his intellectual and professional growth, Rashid has successfully completed many certifications, diplomas, and training programmes. He is a proud Graduate Member of IOSH UK and also holds a British Safety Council Safety (level 6) Diploma, Tap Root Cause Analysis Accident Investigation, NEBOSH International General Certificate, and Lead Auditor for OHSAS 18001.
Rashid is also a certified trainer in various H&S departments. He is an approved trainer for IOSH qualifications, First Aid, NEBOSH HSW, IGC and lead tutor for International Diploma, and a certified risk assessment trainer.
His professionalism and hard work have earned him industry-wide awards including, but not limited to, Best Safety Individual HSE Award – Petro China 2012, Best Safety Team HSE Award - Petro China 2012, and Performance Certificate Saudi Aramco 2017.
Rashid Ali Shah is TWI Middle East’s QHSE lead advisor. He strives to constantly improve in creating and maintaining safe work environments while assuring the utmost quality in operations with unwavering dedication.
With the advancement of technology and higher production demands and outputs, the associated health hazards and risks directly increase both for an organisation and its employees. As a lead health and safety tutor, Rashid is passionate about imparting strong health and safety culture and practices to his students.
