TWI Azerbaijan Host Workshop to Empower Women in Engineering

TWI Azerbaijan recently hosted a workshop titled "Empowering Women in Engineering" for students from UFAZ - French Azerbaijani University. Held on April 9, 2024, at the TWI Azerbaijan office, the event aimed to inspire and equip female engineering students with essential skills and knowledge to excel in their careers.

The workshop, led by Jamal Aliyev, NDT/Project Engineer at TWI Azerbaijan, provided an invaluable opportunity for participants to engage in insightful discussions and practical demonstrations. Covering topics such as Welding Inspection and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques including Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Visual Testing (VT), Radiographic Testing (RT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT), the session offered a comprehensive overview of key aspects of engineering.

Jamal Aliyev, a seasoned professional in the field, shared his expertise and experiences with the attendees, emphasizing the importance of diversity and inclusion in the engineering sector. Through hands-on activities and theoretical discussions, participants gained a deeper understanding of the principles and applications of welding inspection and NDT methods.
