Mehman Mustafayev is one of the most successful candidates in TWI Azerbaijan. He is a graduate of ‘’Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering’’ from Baku State University. He is currently working as a Senior QC Supervisor at McDermott Middle East based in Dubai, UAE.
In addition, he also obtained valuable certificates such as the CSWIP obtained from TWI, which allowed him to work in Azerbaijan and many countries around the world while achieving success in the companies he worked for.
He began his career as a QC Inspector at the Azerbaijan branch of McDermott Caspian, then worked as a QC Inspector in Nigeria and Russia. During this period, he participated in the training of TWI and obtained international certificates. With these certificates, as well as MT, PT, UT, and RI certificates obtained in the NDT field, he rose to the positions of QC Lead and Senior QC Supervisor. Now he is an expert with over 20 years of experience as a QA/QC in the oil and gas industry, Inspection coordination, QC detailing & NDT, review of certificates of materials and welding procedures, conducting audits, ensuring product quality in accordance with specifications, increasing technical problems, etc. Currently, he is improving his knowledge by participating in the training conducted by TWI Azerbaijan for the 10-year renewal of the CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspection certificate and preparing for the 10-year certificate renewal exam.
It is imperative to maintain quality control and assurance in the oil and gas industry, as substandard equipment and materials are capable of causing catastrophic outcomes. A wide range of activities is included in these practices to ensure that equipment and materials meet stringent quality standards and specifications.
Mehman shares his opinion on the importance of the certificates provided by TWI and how people in related fields should take advantage of these qualifications. He says:
“The international training and examinations offered by TWI enable you to become an international specialist. These certificates allow you to work anywhere in the world"
