The EMPHASIZING project has been nominated as finalists for the upcoming 2023 Composites UK - Industry Awards.
Shortlisted for the Sustainability Award: Circularity, the project has been recognised for our work on the upcycling of reclaimed Glass-Reinforced Plastics (GRP) from end-of-service wind blades for reuse as structural automotive parts.
All of the project partners - B&M Longworth Ltd, Brunel Composites Centre (BCC), EMS-CHEMIE, Ford Motor Company, Gestamp, Gen2plank Ltd, and TWI Ltd – are proud to have been recognised for our work.
The award winners are due to be announced at The UK Composites Industry Awards Dinner on 1 November 2023 at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham. The awards dinner will also coincide with the Advanced Engineering Show at the NEC in Birmingham.
