Applications Open to Join Senior Leader Apprenticeship

Fri, 10 March, 2023

The Senior Leader Apprenticeship (SLA) programme is now accepting applications to join the 2023/2024 cohort.

The programme propels lifelong learning ambitions and enhances the high level management skills of senior leaders.

With the next cohort due to start in October 2023, NSIRC and TWI are offering a unique opportunity to develop the skills required to be successful leaders of enterprise in a rapidly changing world.

Deadline for applications is June 30th, 2023.

The programme provides the chance to work closely with experts and experienced professionals across industries, as well as receive mentorship and support. Staff on the programme will both challenge and cheer you on as you find and accelerate your path through the programme.

An Inspiring & Collaborative Community

Within dynamic learning environments, you will gain invaluable insight and professional development, learning how to lead with confidence, clarity and vision.

Over the course of this blended work-based programme, you will explore modules that focus on financial decision making, dynamic leadership, strategy, and the complex challenges that are reshaping the modern workplace.

Taught over 18 months, teaching time is broken down to five study days per module (four subject modules), which will be delivered in two blocks, consisting of face-to-face and online seminars, real-world projects and interactive classroom activities.

Fully Funded by the Apprenticeship Levy

Funded and aligned to the Level 7 Senior Leader Apprenticeship standard, the SLA was designed by employers in partnership with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). Through this standard, you will be allocated Funding Band 12 (£14,000) by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE).

Designed by De Montfort University (DMU) and Leicester Castle Business School, this higher apprenticeship cultivates a strong set of varied management skills, producing successful graduates with strong strategic, analytical and critical thinking skills required for business leaders to triumph.

DMU is a UK university based in the city of Leicester, England. The University is renowned for training graduates to high standards of postgraduate and professional learning, and is ranked Gold by the Teaching Excellence Framework. In January 2023, the university was also awarded Good by Ofsted for apprenticeship programmes.

Now taking applications, the programme is open to all individuals with senior management experience and wish to gain the knowledge skills and behaviours that can strengthen their career and future proof the business.
