The Welding Institute will be represented at the upcoming National Engineering and Construction Recruitment (NECR) exhibition. The biannual event is held at the NEC in Birmingham, with the next exhibition due to take place on 20 and 21 April.
The Institute will join the UK’s top engineering and construction employers at the event, which is designed for professionals of all levels, whether that is recent graduates looking to take their first steps on the career ladder or experienced engineers.
The event will include a host of events including a seminar programme, an engineering skills and innovation conference, a women in engineering forum, an interview clinic, a careers advice lounge, an engineering challenge (with a chance to win £500), a professional development hub, psychometric testing, and a CV clinic.
With engineers wanted for hundreds of vacancies from leading employers, many of the companies in attendance will be seeking to promote their recruitment drives. However, The Welding Institute will be offering advice on how membership and registration can help progress your career. This will include information on interim registration and how it can benefit recent graduates taking their first steps in their career.
The Welding Institute will provide information on the benefits of professional membership, including access to continuous professional development activities, networking opportunities and the vast array of technical knowledge available to Members.
