Representatives from TWI are set to attend an Automotive Industry Network event in Bath on 13 March, 2019.
The event, which is to be held at the Apex City of Bath Hotel, will bring together industry and academia to discuss and address the latest challenges in the automotive sector. Presentations, workshops and panel discussions will be furthered by networking opportunities across the day, while an exhibition area will allow companies and academics to present their work.
TWI is very well placed to meet the challenges of the changing auto industry to electric and autonomous vehicles, where the emphasis will be on light weighting, new materials and improved connectivity. Through our access to a huge variety for joining techniques TWI can help OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers and material companies to find ways to join these materials more efficiently and ensure the best inspection techniques are used to ensure quality.
Attendees look set to include academics from the University of Bath and members of organisations from across the automotive sector, from start-ups to OEMs.
This networking event looks set to provide a strong platform from which TWI can showcase our experience as well as current and upcoming work in the automotive industry.
