TWI was ranked at number 25 in a list of the top performing 100 businesses in Cambridgeshire.
The ranking was decided by the Grant Thornton Cambridgeshire Ltd team based on financial turnover for 2018.
The Cambridgeshire Ltd 2018 list was compiled from the most recent publicly available accounts for those businesses in the county whose principal place of business and management is in Cambridgeshire.
The results show consistent and sustained growth in the region, with an overall turnover of £10.7 billion, which is a 10% increase from the figures from 2017. Meanwhile, the average salary in the region has increased in line with inflation (3.2%) and the number of people employed has grown by 6.3%.
Phil Sharpe and Paul Brown from Grant Thornton were on hand to present an award at TWI’s headquarters near Cambridge.
Speaking on the award, TWI operations director, Mike Russell, said, “TWI is delighted to once again be recognised as one of Cambridgeshire’s top 100 companies. We are especially pleased to be placed among the top quartile for the county for 2018.
Mike added, “Our success is built upon a talented and committed group of loyal staff and stakeholders, and this award recognises their ongoing efforts in support of our business.”
