European Collaboration at Technology Innovation Conference

Thu, 01 August, 2019

TWI will host the TWI Hellas Innovation Summit – a free one-day conference in Athens, Greece on 7 November 2019 – aimed at fostering European collaboration for technology innovation and development.  Delegates are encouraged to register their attendance as soon as possible as the event is already proving popular with SMEs and research and technology organisations (RTOs) who have technologies they would like to develop and commercialise.

Delegates will be able to join experts from TWI’s Innovation Network for an informative and stimulating day focused on exploring and exploiting new technologies and unlocking funding opportunities.

We are delighted to announce that the conference’s keynote speaker will be Jean-David Malo of the European Commission who holds the position of Director (Directorate-General for Research and Innovation) of the European Innovation Council Task Force.  Additional speakers will represent industry, National Contact Points (NCPs) and TWI’s Innovation Network.

The programme for the day also includes:

  • Innovation clinics offering delegates a 1-2-1 session with an innovation expert to discuss their company’s technology concepts or ideas
  • Facilitated group discussions on key H2020 topics and scopes of work
  • Networking opportunities with like-minded, forwarding thinking, technology-orientated organisations.

Tat-Hean Gan, TWI’s Director of Innovation explains “This event will be invaluable for companies who are seeking to establish a new technology or commercialise a new product or service. Delegates will be able to find out how they could collaborate with TWI’s Innovation Centres and industrial companies in the TWI Innovation Network, who are undertaking joint industry research to develop the next generation of cutting-edge technologies, as well as explore the funding landscape including potential routes to support their developments.”

This is a free event – book the conference through EventBrite – places are limited so registration is recommended without delay.
