TWI is set to exhibit at Offshore Wind Energy which takes place from 6-8 June in London, UK.
Our team of experts will be on hand to talk to you about how TWI can support you and your organisation with condition and structural health monitoring solutions designed to improve the reliability of your plant and assets, and extend their useful life.
Visit us on Stand S-J2 - we would be delighted to see you.
Meet the team
Ángela Angulo, Senior Project Leader at TWI
Ángela has extensive experience in the development and application of advanced innovative condition and structural health monitoring techniques, structural assessment and risk management solutions for a wide range of industries.
Combining her technical knowledge, project management, and business development expertise she supports TWI members and industrial partners by providing costs savings solutions and reliability assurance within the Integrity Management Group.
If you would like to speak to Ángela before the exhibition, please contact us.
Chris Peters, Product Manager, TWI Global Training & Examination Services
Chris joined TWI in 2001 after spending 12 years in the laser industry where he was involved in the development of high-power Nd:YAG lasers for manufacturing applications.
Originally trained as a mechanical engineer, Chris later gained additional qualifications in welding engineering and laser material processing. His early career experience was spent on the development of welding processes for power generation applications.
If you would like to speak to Chris before the exhibition, please contact us.
Elvin Eren, Consultant at TWI
Elvin’s expertise covers damage tolerance improvement; mechanical performance of welded structures and residual stresses; failure analysis and prevention; and condition and structural monitoring as well as machine learning.
With the aim of advancing risk management of physical assets through enhanced structural integrity and non-destructive testing techniques, Elvin has been managing the development of TWI’s integrity management offerings such as product commercialisation, collaborative research projects, software product lines and bespoke systems.
Elvin holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering - Diplom Ingenieur - from Technische Universitaet Muenchen and a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London.
If you would like to speak to Elvin before the exhibition, please contact us.
Jialin Tang, Project leader at TWI
Jialin Tang joined TWI’s Condition and Structural Health Monitoring section in December 2013 as a PhD research student. Before this, she studied aeronautical engineering at Northwestern Polytechnical University, China. Her PhD research focuses on developing pattern recognition techniques to identify the failure modes on acoustic emission signals acquired from the fatigue damage progression in complex composite structures.
In January, 2017, Jialin became a Project Leader at TWI. She is currently working on the publicly funded ACMWind project which focuses on using airborne emissions to assess the integrity of wind turbine drivetrains.
If you would like to speak to Jialin before the exhibition, please contact us.
Nikos Panagopoulos, Senior Project Leader at TWI
Nikos Panagopoulos has a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, with specialism in energy systems, and an MSc in Structural Integrity. During his undergraduate degree he worked on research into the analysis and stochastic modelling of big data of solar radiation intensity. He started his professional career as a renewable systems engineer, and became involved in providing hardware and software solutions for industrial automations, remote telemetry, power transfer, security and sensor systems for renewable energy plants. Nikos completed his Structural Integrity Master's degree with NSIRC, after which he was employed by TWI as a Project Leader, focusing on the research and development of novel solutions in the field of condition and structural health monitoring.
If you would like to speak to Nikos before the exhibition, please contact us.
