Held on the 11 October at TWI’s state-of-the-art facilities near Cambridge, the conference focused on applying Industry 4.0 concepts to joining and associated technologies.
The free one-day conference covered a range of industry topics such as TWI’s digital welding systems, and opportunities and challenges presented by Industry 4.0. Presentations came from the award-winning ‘Best New Catalyst’ project team on ‘Smart Industrial Manufacturing: Robots-as-a-Service’ and guest presenter Alan Norbury from Siemens UK on ‘Britain’s fourth industrial revolution vision to reality’ as well as TWI experts.
