The Association for Welding, Fabrication, Training and Education (AWFTE) is holding its first all-day forum at The Welding Institute in Cambridge on Friday 22 April.
The AWFTE Committee has moved away from holding a yearly conference and quarterly committee meetings to three forums which will be held throughout the UK. The new forums will be more interactive for speakers and delegates, with the opportunity for delegates to ask questions of guest speakers, as well as members of the Awarding Bodies, and the Committee itself.
The format will also provide excellent networking opportunities, and the chance for workshops and company tours depending on the host.
The first forum includes updates from the Awarding Bodies and the HSE, a presentation from TWI’s Geoff Melton on ‘Health and Safety in Welding’, plus a technical tour of TWI’s new state-of-the-art site and facilities. The day also includes a buffet lunch with an opportunity to network with other trainers and educators.
The forum is free to all AWFTE members and company representatives, non-members will be charged £80+VAT.
To register for your space on the first forum please click here. You will also find further information about the day including a programme, plus details of near-by accommodation availability.
AWFTE is a membership organisation specifically for welder training and fabrication professionals in the education and training sector.
