TWI has been part of a high-profile delegation of UK companies, researchers and technology bodies taking part in UK-India Manufacturing Week.
The events of the last week have been aimed at introducing top UK advanced manufacturing companies and researchers to leading Indian companies, to facilitate international collaboration.
As well as TWI the delegation included UK companies Rolls-Royce, Airbus, Delcam and Renishaw, technology bodies such as the National Composites Centre and Institute of Engineering Technology, and academics from British universities.
With events in Pune on 1 December and Bengaluru on 3 December, the purpose of the week has been to increase collaboration between the UK and India in the automotive, aerospace and defence sectors.
Chris Wiseman, Corporate Sector Manager at TWI, spoke at the Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Workshop in Pune, before presenting on 'New manufacturing trends in aerospace - Internet of Things and additive manufacturing' at the Bengaluru event.
The trip provided an opportunity to promote TWI's expertise and technology to the automotive and aerospace sectors in India and, by association, the UK, USA, and Europe, with more than 100 industrial delegates in attendance.
A full report on TWI's presence at UK-India Manufacturing Week will be published shortly.
