TWI presented and exhibited at the world's second largest upstream oil and gas conference, Offshore Europe, held last month in Aberdeen. The event played host to over 1500 exhibitors and saw more than 55,000 industry representatives through the door.
The theme of the event, inspiring the next generation, provided a forum for industry to address the challenges it faces now and in the future. Technical seminars covered a wide range of topics including subsea risers and equipment, decommissioning of wells and pipelines, subsea processing and operations, and effective management and maintenance of offshore assets.
There were also technical presentations from leading industry experts, including TWI's oil and gas industry sector manager, David Galbraith, who presented on the topic of meaningful and leading structural integrity key performance indicators, established for assessing the performance of equipment in terms of production capability and safety performance.
TWI's exhibition stand hosted a number of exciting developments including technology to increase the reliability of ultrasonic inspection, integrity management software designed by TWI engineers and Plant Integrity's guided wave technology, developed to inspect and monitor pipelines and tubular structures.
TWI received a steady flow of visitors throughout the event, from representatives of Member and non-Member companies alike. The exhibition provided TWI with the opportunity to network with key clients whilst introducing lesser-known customers to the benefits of partnership.
