David Galbraith, TWI's oil and gas industry sector manager, is one of three industry veterans comprising the advisory board for the Structural Integrity Management (SIM) Conference North Sea, which will take place in Aberdeen from 10 to 11 November 2015.
Mr Galbraith will join BP's Iain Manclark and Shell's Terry Rhodes on the panel, which will preside over a plethora of expert speakers from companies across the offshore industry. Topics that will be covered in presentations at the conference include solutions to industry-wide SIM challenges, the role of structural monitoring in SIM, risk management strategies, and life extension and continued service strategy.
Mr Galbraith will present on the topic of 'Different forms - differing challenges - fixed versus floating installations', while TWI project leader Payam Jamshidi will speak on the subject of 'Structural integrity assessment of well conductors'.
