TWI is set to bring its expertise in ceramic joining to one of the leading events in the ceramics field later this week.
Organised by the European Ceramic Competitiveness Cluster, the 5th CERAMIC Network aims to bring together 200 international companies around business meetings, conferences and site visits to look at the latest innovations and use of ceramics, as well as gathering contractors, suppliers and specialists to build partnerships and networks to help develop industrial projects.
As well as being event partners, TWI will also be represented at the two-day event by Nick Ludford and Nicolas Dauvilliers.
Dr Ludford and Mr Dauvilliers will share their specialist knowledge of ceramic joining including brazing, diffusion bonding, and ceramic-to-metal joining, as well as talking about collaborative R&D project opportunities with the event delegates.
Mr Dauvilliers commented, 'As the unique properties of ceramics are increasingly being used for industrial purposes, specifically in the automotive, medical and aerospace fields, this event - one of the largest ceramics events in Europe - offers us an ideal platform to promote TWI's ceramic expertise to a global audience, and to forge industry partnerships.'
The event takes place on 18-19 June 2015 in Limoges, France.
