Specialists from TWI will be present at NACE Corrosion 2015 next month, providing an opportunity for visits and consultations with companies also attending or based in the area.
NACE Corrosion 2015, the biggest corrosion-related event in the world, will take place in Dallas, Texas, on 15 to 19 March. Combining a 450-stand exhibition with a technical conference programme featuring 38 symposia, the event is expected to welcome more than 7000 attendees and should provide an excellent networking opportunity.
If you or someone from your organisation will also be at NACE Corrosion 2015, this is an ideal opportunity to consult with one of our experts and find out how we can support your work. Whether your company is an Industrial Member of TWI or not, we will be very pleased to meet with you.
The prevention and mitigation of corrosion is a major focus at TWI, which possesses considerable expertise on the subject. Our engineers will be able to assist with any technical queries or problems relating to the issue.
TWI engineers attending the conference are:
- John Rothwell, specialist in the behaviour of welded ferrous alloys and flexibles in sour service
- Shiladitya Paul, specialist in the corrosion behaviour of thermal spray coatings and the behaviour of materials in high-pressure, high-temperature CO2 environments
- Kasra Sotoudeh, specialist in the behaviour of stainless steels and dissimilar metal welds in sour service and marine environments
- Mike Gittos, specialist in the behaviour of non-ferrous alloys, stainless steels and dissimilar metal welds in sour service and marine environments.
Dr Sotoudeh will present a paper on 'Failure of an 8630M low-alloy steel to C-Mn steel dissimilar metal weld, made using nickel alloy 625'. Dr Paul will present two papers: 'Thermally sprayed corrosion-resistant alloy coatings on carbon steel for use in supercritical CO2 environments' and 'Microstructural evaluation of calcareous deposits on TSA-coated steel structures at elevated temperatures'.
