MI-21: Metals Information for the 21st Century
A unique engineering tool for comparison of materials data for metals and consumables allows companies to identify, compare and contrast suitable products and to plan for fabrication, repair or maintenance with the touch of a button.
MI-21 provides users with access to a unique online collection of metals and consumables data. The database, produced by TWI and the World Metal Index (WMI) and powered by software from Granta Design, combines welding, brazing, soldering, spraying and surfacing consumables data, plus ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Access to MI-21 enables users to locate products by their trade names, standard grades and a variety of technical data (e.g. chemical composition, mechanical and physical properties, available forms etc.). Thus, the system is designed to allow instant comparison of products - ideal for the repair and maintenance engineer.
The online subscription to MI-21 includes access to over 300,000 non-digitised records via the Support Service (by telephone, e-mail or fax). TWI and WMI will also provide help in searching the database, if required.
TWI Industrial Members have free access to MI-21 Consumables via the Information Services page and a reduced subscription rate to MI-21 Metals.
