TWI FREE WEBINAR: Materials Challenges in Offshore Wind at 2.30pm UK Time
This FREE webinar will offer an overview of some of the current materials challenges in the offshore wind sector. With examples taken from across the entire structure of a wind turbine, from foundation to the turbine blades, this event will show existing issues and highlight potential solutions for the future.
The webinar will also provide a look into the next stage of offshore wind development and how TWI can benefit Industrial Members and the wider industry as technology matures and expands into new markets.
Attendees will gain expert information and a broader understanding of materials challenges in the offshore wind industry. There will also be a discussion and a chance to submit your own questions.

Meet the team
Senior Project Leader
Ben joined TWI in September 2015 as a project leader in the surface engineering section. This followed on from his EngDoc which was co-sponsored by TWI during his time at University College London. Ben's EngDoc focused on nanostructured photocatalytic coatings for energy generation, air/water purification etc. Ben also has MRes and MSci qualifications in materials science and chemistry from UCL. His areas of expertise include nanomaterials, coating deposition technologies, photocatalysis and surface profilometry.
