Speakers
Jyet joined TWI in 2008, prior to TWI, Jyet obtained a bachelor of Material and Manufacturing. He has more than 15 years in asset integrity and managed several projects in corrosion, integrity assessment, welding engineering, failure investigations, fitness for services, cathodic protection, NDT and risk-based inspection for various industries. His in-depth knowledge of industry code and standards combined with his NDT background. Currently, he is the operation manager in engineering services.
R J Pardikar has over 40 years of experience in the field of quality and NDE of boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, nuclear components, valves, defence equipment, etc, during manufacturing and in-service inspection. He worked as General Manager and headed a group of 150 NDT experts and inspection engineers catering to the need for a boiler plant with a manufacturing capacity of 20000 MW.
Pardikar has been responsible for the training and certification of NDE personnel. He developed and established special NDE techniques for RLA of power equipment. He has been instrumental in the introduction of several advanced NDE technologies like digital and computed radiography, ultrasonic phased array technology, high energy radiography using linear accelerators, micro focal radiography of critical nuclear components, real-time radioscopy with automatic defect recognition at BHEL.
Pardikar published more than 150 technical papers in national and international journals/conferences, and guided several graduates and postgraduate students on NDE projects toward fulfillment of their academic curriculum. He served as the Hon. General Secretary of the Indian Society of Non-destructive Testing (ISNT) for nine years and held the responsibility as President of ISNT at the national level during 2018-2019.
Pardikar is associated with TWI since 2013 and is actively engaged in new developments and effectively transferring his knowledge to aspiring NDT personnel through training, workshops, and webinars.
In recognition of his significant contribution to the promotion of science and technology, he received many awards at the National and International level which includes:
- Lifetime achievement award by ISNT in (2020).
- Bharat Vibhushan Award (2016)
- Asia Pacific Achievers Award for Industry Development (2014)
- Bharat Jyoti Award (2013) & Glory of India Gold Medal (2013).
- Man of the Year 2009 Awarded by the American Biographical Institute, for outstanding community and professional achievement.
- International recognition award by ISNT (2008)
- International Engineer of the Year 2008 awarded by International Biographical Centre, Cambridge.
- Inclusion of Biographical profile in “Marques Who’s Who in Science and Engineering (2006-07).
- National NDT Award (industrial applications) by ISNT in 1994.
Mehran Izadkhah
Global RiskWISE Product Manager
Mehran joined TWI in 2009. He has managed several projects of risk-based inspection, damage mechanism identification, fitness-for-services, offshore structural integrity assessment, pipeline integrity assessment, corrosion control, cathodic protection, protective coatings, and failure investigations.
He led the development of fully quantitative and semi-quantitative procedures, methodologies, and algorithms utilized in RBI assessment for various assets such as pipelines, boilers and fixed equipment. He is now the Product Manager for TWI’s Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) software RiskWISE®, leading and managing the developments of TWI’s RBI and Integrity management software.
Prior to TWI, Mehran obtained a bachelor of Chemical Engineering and held the role of site engineer on an offshore platform in the Middle East.

Over 15 years of experience in life management, risk assessment and plant asset integrity issues for the power generation, oil and gas and process sectors. Currently based in Thailand as Country Manager, provides consultancy services throughout South East Asia.
Sayan Turysbekov
Country Manager, TWI Kazakhstan
Sayan Turysbekov joined TWI in 2021 as a Country Manager for the TWI Kazakhstan Branch. With a background and vast experience related to the oil and gas sector, Sayan has been involved in sectors ranging from scaffolding, sandblasting and coating services, through to visual welding inspection, finance management, and training development.
Karim Shakouri
Country Manager, TWI Azerbaijan
Karim Shakouri joined TWI in 2012 as the Country Manager for the TWI Azerbaijan branch. He is also responsible for business development, covering both training and technical services, in the Caspian Sea region which includes Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Georgia.
Boasting over 20 years of working experience in several fields, Karim holds an MBA, a degree in Welding Engineering, and Level II NDT qualifications across various methods.
His extensive background and vast experience span sectors such as oil and gas, construction, power generation, and manufacturing.
Over the years, Karim has managed numerous projects, including 3rd party inspection, NDT, requalification before shipping, global vendor audits/inspections, inspections during construction, construction quality monitoring, aged building inspection and condition monitoring, in-service refinery and platform existing condition assessments and monitoring, structural integrity assessments, pipeline integrity assessments, and the preparation and review of welding and NDT procedures.
Ali Mohamed Elkordi

Ali has been a Chartered Chemical Engineer since 1989 and Fellow (2015) of the IChemE. Ali graduated from Teesside University Middleborough in 1984/85 with a BEng in Chemical Engineering. In 1989/90 he completed his MSc in Corrosion Engineering and Science from UMIST Manchester. Trained and developed by both AGIP and ADCO in Oil and Gas fields, especially in Technical Support, Managerial and Integrity fields. Ali has demonstrated tangible achievements and continuous improvements in his career and work during the transition from a Senior Corrosion and Inspection Engineer to the Team Leader position and Acting Technical Support Manager. Ali has also educated and trained Local engineers and foremen since 2004, alongside his continuing Engineering practice. Ali is the author of a number of technical papers that have been submitted/published at various predominate papers, conferences, seminars and exhibitions. Ali has been active in the Oil and Gas Industry throughout his career. Ali joined TWI as Regional Engineering Manager in 2019 covering the MENA region. Prior to that, he was conducting consultation in the internal corrosion aspect for DNV GL /KOC.
