Pressure and Process Plant Technical Group Meeting:
Additive Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence in Pressure and Process Plant
Who is it for?
Technical Groups are networks that meet to discuss the latest developments in their respective specialist area. The annual meetings that they hold offer attendees a unique opportunity to discuss topics of mutual interest, to promote the exchange of ideas and the sharing of experience, and to hear from leading researchers and engineering practitioners who offer unique insight and perspective.
Additive Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence in pressure and process plant
Additive manufacturing has the potential to reduce overall production costs, while also lowering waste and energy usage. It is particularly suited to trial different component prototypes and customise them to specific applications. Where obsolescence of parts is a problem in extending the life of plants and equipment, additive manufacturing can help provide cost effective solutions.
The application of Artificial Intelligence in process control and the maintenance of plant and equipment is increasing. Key drivers for this include the need to reduce human exposure to hostile environments and developments in the reliability and cost-effectiveness of monitoring and computing technology.
This meeting presents an opportunity to hear from a wide range of experts discussing the application of these two key technologies in regard to pressure and process plant.
