Surface engineering at TWI

A seminar at TWI Ltd, Granta Park, Cambridge, titled Solving problems at the surface is to be held on 28 May 2002. It will cover current and future developments in surfacing technology at TWI. Dealing with applications including wear protection, corrosion damage, surface modification and repair and reclamation, this seminar will be of interest to many industry sectors.

Reliability of HVOF coatings subject to environmental exposure

TWI has launched a GSP to evaluate the long-term reliability of HVOF coating properties and to evaluate the options for specific combined wear and corrosion applications. This project is relevant to companies involved in manufacturing aircraft landing gear, propeller hubs and gas turbines hydraulic rams for heavy construction machinery and components such as valves and pumps.
