The TWI Annual Dinner held on 7 November 2001 at the Savoy Hotel in London was the venue for a keynote speech given by the guest speaker Sir Alec Broers, Vice Chancellor of Cambridge University.

The 150 guests heard Sir Alec emphasise the importance of enthusing young people about engineering and the excitement and rewards which can come from a career in this discipline.
